Before you begin

Prepare your setup.

Hair and heat guidanceVery thin, bleached, blonde or fragile hair requires extra care during the ironing process. Use reduced heat when needed, complete a strand test first and follow the instructions carefully. High temperatures can damage hair that cannot tolerate them.

Step-by-step

Use it with
confidence.

Work through each step in order. Keep the product label nearby and follow any instructions printed on your specific packaging.

01Burix One: Prepare the hair
Step 01

Prepare the hair

Wash 2–3 times with shampoo only—no conditioner yet. This clears away every trace of residue and opens the cuticle so the treatment can bond properly. Pro tip: finish with a filtered-water rinse. Minerals in tap water can interfere with bonding, and this one small step makes a real difference.

02Burix One: Dry to 50%
Step 02

Dry to 50%

Section the hair and blow dry until it's about halfway dry. It should still feel slightly damp to the touch.

03Burix One: Apply the treatment
Step 03

Apply the treatment

Pour a small amount into a plastic bowl—never metal. Divide the hair into 4 sections and clip 3 of them out of the way. Using an applicator brush, work one section at a time, staying about ½ inch (1 cm) away from the scalp and roots. Comb through so every strand is evenly coated from mid-length to ends. Start with less—you can always add more as you go.

04Burix One: Let it process
Step 04

Let it process

Cover the hair with a shower cap and wait 60–90 minutes. Thick or very curly hair needs the full 90 minutes.

05Burix One: Rinse completely
Step 05

Rinse completely

Rinse with cool water and good pressure until the hair feels completely clean. Don't rush this—any product left behind will show in the final result.

06Burix One: Dry 100%
Step 06

Dry 100%

Dry the hair completely, right down to the ends. For a straighter finish, stretch the hair with a brush as you blow dry. A single damp patch can change your result.

07Burix One: Seal with the flat iron
Step 07

Seal with the flat iron

Work in thin sections and adjust to the look you're after. Fine hair: 375–400°F, 10–12 gentle passes. Normal hair: 450°F, 15–20 passes. Thick hair: 450–460°F, 20–25 passes. Defined curls: 1–2 light passes on medium heat. Natural texture: skip the iron entirely—blow dry only.

08Burix One: Balance the pH and finish
Step 08

Balance the pH and finish

Rinse thoroughly with cool water, then apply Prohall Equalize Mask from mid-length to ends. Leave it for 10 minutes, rinse completely, and style as you like. This final step is what makes your result last.
